The public meeting was well attended and gave people a great opportunity to share their views. All of your submission was amply supported by others. I hope Council can now take these submissions and present a very plausable argument to the Panning Minister about what is seen to be acceptable to our community. It is important to remember that this is a DPA prepared in response to government lead changes.

I would be interested in hearing if FOCUS has any activities or events scheduled concerning the Development Plan Amendment for the City of Unley, now that the community consultation phase is open again until February 2013. Now is the time for residents to have their say about these proposals and join together to let the Council know what we want or don’t want in our community.

Loved the article regarding 8 Palmerston Road, Unley.

Great to see the Villa for now, not be demolished. Agree if demolished, the street would not have the same feel, appeal, etc.

When looking at the State Government’s proposal for the area, the Mary – Arthur street developmental approval may be a blessing in disguise. At least this project has been through a planning procedure where most peoples needs have been considered.
What has been approved may be considerably better than what may have eventuated in the future on such a developmental site.
